Refund policy

Common to every GIIG LLC event that charges a fee. The short rule: before the event starts, we refund, no questions asked.

Events

Printathon, Modulthon, and those that open later

Full refund

• You changed your mind at any point before the event begins — just write to us; no reason needed.
• The organiser cancelled the event.
• The event was rescheduled and the new date does not suit you.
• You were charged twice, or charged in error.

No refund

• The event has started and you did not join. The brief is open by then and cannot be un-opened.
• A participant was removed for plagiarism or harassment — see clause 8 of the terms.

Group payments

Where a leader paid for a group in one payment, the refund goes to the leader — to the card or account the money came from. We cannot do otherwise. Splitting it inside the group is the leader's business: we do not know who gave them what.

Part of a payment can be refunded too: if two of ten drop out before the start, write to us and we will refund those two.

How to ask

Write to info@buildinclt.com from the address you paid with, and give the date of the payment. We answer within 3 business days.

Timing

We send the refund within 5 business days of confirming it, by the same method the payment arrived. How long it then takes to reach your account depends on your bank and the payment provider — usually 5 to 10 business days, and that part is out of our hands.

Fees

We refund the full fee. Any payment-provider fee withheld is ours to absorb, not yours.
